MEET MELEAH

I’m a resilient hard worker from the heart of Northwest Arkansas

I have lived in Northwest Arkansas since I was in second grade and I am deeply connected to this community.

I spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ farm growing up, where I learned to appreciate what it meant to work hard and have compassion for living things both big and small. As a teen, I volunteered at the local animal shelter in my spare time. My mom has worked at the Rogers Public Library for over a decade, and I have spent many afternoons chatting with neighbors there. My dad worked as an HVAC tech at the community college, where I am an alum. I have early memories of hiking the beautiful trails by Beaver Lake and Hobbs State Park, and now I get to watch my two kids grow up in the community that helped to shape who I am today.

Hard work and resilience have been the guiding principles of my life.

My parents instilled in me that hard work gets you to where you need to go, and I put this into practice in college where I worked as much as I could on top of my studies to save for a down payment. I achieved my dream of independently buying my first home at the age of 21.

I’ve faced various medical issues, and through each one I have dug deep for strength and hope, ultimately beating the odds.

I will fight for this community that I love, driven by the compassion, resilience, and work ethic that I’ve picked up from my life, family, and neighbors in Northwest Arkansas.
